Using search in Windows 7

Looking for your documents, photos, or music on a Windows 7 computer? What software is installed and how can you find it?

You could browse through your folders, but it’s much faster to search! Click the Start menu and use the search box that contains a magnifying glass.  As you begin to type, matching software, documents, music, and photos will immediately appear in the list of search results. Just click on the item to open the file or launch the software!
