Google+ is now available through Bmail!
Google+ is a social media tool that introduces new ways for faculty, staff, and students to connect and communicate. Collaboration opportunities now abound among our Bucknell community! For instance, you can create a profile, participate in a group video chats, share posted content with others quickly and easily, and much more.
If you choose to activate Google+ in Bmail, there are two very important things you need to know.
First, you may be asked for your birth date. It’s up to you whether or not you tell the truth, but if you submit a date that makes you less than 13-years-old Google will lock you out of Bmail until you can prove your true age. (No, we’re not kidding about this.)
Second, Google+ extends beyond our campus. You have the capability to interact and collaborate with anyone on the Internet that has a Google+ account, not just faculty, staff, and students at Bucknell. FERPA rules DO apply! A PUBLIC profile with an association to Bucknell is created for any student that chooses to enable the service.
