Two professors were chosen as the recipients of the Faculty Technology Integration Grant. On Wednesday, May 9, Roger Rothman, Associate Professor of Art History, and Ned Ladd, Associate Professor of Physics, were chosen as the recipients of the Faculty Technology Integration Grant for Information & Digital Literacy Course Development. A modest summer stipend will be awarded to each faculty member as they plan their work in the Summer of 2012. They are to create or redesign a course which utilizes interactive technologies to engage students in discipline based processes for implementation to begin with academic year 2012-2013 and at least one more time within the 2013-2014 or 2014-2015 academic year.
For the second year, Library & Information Technology has offered the grant with support from the Office of the Provost. We encourage faculty members to submit course development proposals that seek to use technology creatively and effectively in the design or redesign of a Bucknell course. We are committed to supporting faculty development of a range of projects that integrate inquiry, pedagogy, and technology.
