Tech Tips: September 24 – 28

Tech Tip: Star a Message
Need to follow up on an important message?  Star it!  Apply a yellow star and quickly retrieve the message when you are ready to respond.

Tech Tip: Notifications in Spreadsheets
Bmail spreadsheets are perfect for sharing information, but how do you know when an editor alters your data?  Google Forms are wonderful for collecting information, but how do you know when someone submits a form? Set up notification rules and you’ll always know when the contents of your spreadsheet change!

Tech Tip: Bmail Drive Quota
How many files can you store in your Drive?  You have 5 GB of storage in Drive, but Google Documents, Presentations, and Spreadsheets do not use any space!

Tech Tip: Duplicate Values in Excel 2010
How do you work with duplicate values in Excel 2010?  How do you find, hide, highlight, or delete duplicates in a spreadsheet?  Send me an email with your favorite strategies for handling duplicate data – the best suggestions will go into a future tip!
Hint: If you don’t have a technique for working with duplicates, search Help in Excel,, or for ideas!

Tech Tip: Document Line
Sometimes, you just need a line.  Not a border, not a bunch of dashes, not a row of underscores. Where can you find a handy line?  Take a look at the Insert menu in Bmail Documents – that’s where you’ll find Horizontal Line!
