Announcing two new additions to Bertrand Library’s extensive collection of online databases

Digital Sanborn Maps and Sanborn Maps Geo Edition (1867-1970):

Digital Sanborn Maps, 1867-1970 (ProQuest), provide access to over 650,000 large-scale maps of more than 12,000 American towns and cities. Sanborn fire insurance maps are valuable historical tools for anyone who wants to learn about the growth and development of American cities, towns, and neighborhoods. In electronic form, Digital Sanborn Maps offer greater flexibility of use and improved viewing options over microfilm versions.

Sanborn Maps Geo Edition 1867-1970 (ProQuest), provides digital access to thousands of large-scale maps of American towns and cities, searchable by address and GPS coordinates. Sanborn Maps Geo Edition allows users to search for maps by address and location and to layer maps from different years.

Access these and other library databases through the list of databases on the Library and IT website.
