The Geofacets Database is a new tool for discovering reliable geoscience information: over 1.75 million maps, figures, and tables from scientific publications. It is not just a bibliography, it includes GIS shape files, TIFF and JPEG files that can be integrated with ArcGIS, Google Earth, Excel, and PowerPoint. It provides links to articles we subscribe to at Bucknell, in addition to a read-only pdf of every source article included in the database.
Geofacets can be searched by subject (text) or by location to find relevant georeferenced maps and shape files, as well as photos, plots and graphs, stratigraphic columns, geologic sections, tables and other figures. After February 1, 2018, users will be able to register to set up their own personal account, for saving searches and results.
