Make high quality video recordings in the library!

Looking to break out of the traditional model of teaching? Are you interested in utilizing high quality sound and video equipment to create professional materials for your classes?  If so, the 2nd Floor Studio, located in Bertrand Library (on the second level, within the East Reading Room), is a fully featured sound and video space that allows you to record high quality content.

This studio isn’t exclusively a faculty resource; it’s great for students to record speeches, presentations, contribute monologues or narrations, and much more! Digital Pedagogy & Scholarship offers class and individual introductions as well as demos to the space, and we’re happy to consult with you on how to utilize this new studio for your teaching.

The facility includes the following tools:

  • green-screen capabilities
  • lapel mics for better audio
  • projector to display your presentation
  • 3-point lighting for advanced video interviews
  • broadcast connections for cable/satellite news feeds*
